Personal Training for Health and Fitness

ONE-TO-ONE SESSIONS FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS!

Research has shown that working on a one-to-one basis is the best way to maximise results, whether it be for weight loss, fitness or behavioural change. A good personal trainer will assess, plan, supervise, motivate, encourage and support the client throughout the training process. When the trainer turns up on the doorstep full of enthusiasm and energy it can be more difficult to say 'no' than to go with the flow! The client and trainer work as an efficient team. The trainer provides the knowledge, expertise and equipment, the client puts in the time and effort. Both parties put in commitment.

You may have tried Health clubs or Gyms and become disillusioned or dissatisfied at the lack of motivation, care and supervision you have received. You may not have achieved the results you wanted because you were not sure you were exercising correctly or appropriately. You may have received conflicting advice on your eating patterns or been left confused by the varying diets advocated by celebrities and the media.

Here at The Fitness Factor we devise a programme especially for you, taking into account your medical background, your current level of activity and your lifestyle. We believe that because each person is an individual, their exercise and dietary requirements should reflect this.

Each client is assessed on their fitness level at the initial consultation via questionnaires and some non-invasive tests, such as a BP check if necessary. They are weighed, their waist circumference measured and body fat noted. There is also a chat about realistic goals. If the client wants to lose weight, then a food diary is left to complete over the following week before any nutritional advice is given. The programmes I plan for my clients are relative to my findings and no-one is ever asked to do anything beyond their capabilities as I believe this defeats the objective. No pain, no gain is NOT one of my mottos! I want my clients to enjoy the experience and be eager to repeat it, again and again until it becomes a part of their lives

The cost of Personal Training depends on how far away you live from our base.
